This is a big argument going on in my community right now. A family had been suspected of child abuse for a long time, and social services had gone to the house on numerous occasions. Finally, the child died from abuse, and members of the community were very upset. Still, you don't want children being taken away from parents unless you are sure it's needed. You could find some interesting cases to talk about... it's an important issue and would get your audience thinking about the topic.
