Question

i am going to hospital to doo the surgury stuff but for some odd reason the only thing i am scared about is the needle i mean my dad told me what they do - they put it directly to your vein and they keep it in your hand for the whold surgury and it is twice as big... has anybody been to hospital to do this? do you have a tecnique apart from looking away?

oh he means the IV needle of course that happens but you wont care ..you will be so high it wont matter ....

Hey don&#039;t panic all to be done for the best of your health. Its not the needle that stays in your vein its just a cannula made of flexible plastic. This is done for your good as during the surgery if you need to be administered with medication would you prefer to be pierced all the time or to get it dispensed through the cannula placed and secured. Don&#039;t worry all will be good.

It&#039;s not twice as big as anything!  It&#039;s a tiny little needle and you probably won&#039;t even feel them put it in.

Looking away is best.  Think about a double cheeseburger and choc.shake, which, by the way, you won&#039;t be eating anytime real soon.

Yes, I&#039;ve had this done and my children had it done too.  Be a big girl and &quot;get &#039;er done&quot; as the great sage and philosopher Larry the Cable Guy says!  It won&#039;t hurt...that&#039;s where the needle comes in!
