Oram goes back home from Sri Lanka
New Zealand’s all-rounder Jacob Oram has been ruled out of the rest of the Micromax Cup tri-series with a tendon injury. This is the second time he has injured his tendon, and he will consult a specialist to analyse the extent of the injury.
Oram has been in and out of the New Zealand team because of his issues with injuries, and has had to retire from Test match cricket to prolong his career. He was selected for the third game but it was rained off before he had to pack his bags off.
New Zealand coach Mark Greatbatch said that the injury had to be assessed before they could decide on the future of the star cricketer. He also added that Oram gone through his fitness routines to overcome the injury but time had proved to be insufficient. Greatbatch added, “At this stage it is unclear how severe the injury is and he will return to New Zealand for further assessment and rehabilitation.”
It is not only http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Central-Districts-c777 coach Alan Hunt confirmed that it was his knee that had been proving bothersome for some time now, and the injury was a clear case of a flare-up. Hunt also said that New Zealand will need to strategise about their World Cup plans with Oram’s injury-prone knee in mind.
Oram has already missed the IPL this year, but had managed to participate in the ICC World T20 for New Zealand.
