Orange Nokia E5, remove the orange side bar on desktop?

On a Orange Nokia E51 how do you remove the orange side bar on desktop on phone with out unlocking from orange?

the bar on the left covers up a program i have loaded on!

and i there appears to be no settings to remove the orange bar.

if you unlock the phone, orange send it back though to the phone with

in 15 mins and i want to stay on orange so is there a way to sort this with out unlocking?

Thats an annoying thing about orange phones you cant remove it unless you debrand the phone

not unlock it even if you unlock it, it will still be there
