Orange pill with apo 300 written on one side?

i have a bottle of round orange pills with apo 300 written on them. does anyone know what it is? are they pain killers? if so, is it possible to die from eating to many of them?

If they say APO on one side and are scored on the other side with ALL on top and 300 below that then it is a drug called Allopurinol.  This is a medication used to treat gout.
