Orchid plant? leaves & roots are green/healthy... stem is dead. what do i do?

its a Phalaenopsis. and the entire stem branch thing is brown and dead

What kind of orchid is it? If you don't know what do the leaves look like? Roots on most orchids are white, and will turn green when you water the plant. Many orchids will only bloom once per stem. Depending on th type of orchid you have this may be normal.
