is the answer 1 0r 18 and how

37-2 to the third power divided by 4

You have an exponent, multiplication, addition, and subtraction. I listed them in the order they must be used.

25-8×2+3² = 25-8×2 + 9  exponent evaluated first

= 25- 16 +9  multiplication next

= 18   do addition/subtraction last

In Order Of Operation, you do multiplication and division first then addition and subtraction. Of course, if you have an exponent you simplify it.  (by the way, to get a ², hold down the Alt key and push 0178 and then take your finger off the Alt key.)

25-8x2+3²    ---> First make the 3² a 9, and you have:

25-8x2+9     ---> Now multiply 8x2. That is 16, so put 16 in place of it:

25-16+9       ---> Now it's just simple addition. 25-16 is 9:

9+9

18

second one to calculate: multiply or divided [* or /]

the last one: add, decrease. [+ or -]

so the answer is :
