Question:

Ordering Contacts?

Hi there. I am trying to order contacts offline. My old contacts are Frequency 55 Aspheric. However, on the two boxes, it just says -3.75 and -2.75. It doesn't say OD or OS or which one is right and left. Does it matter? Can I just order them whichever way and switch them if they're backwards? I know my right eye is weaker, so which prescription would that be, -3.75 or -2.75? Is it my right or the doctor's right? I'm confused. I would see an optician but I have no insurance right now, and I just need some contacts to last me until a new job in July which comes with eye insurance. I can't call my old eye doctor either, since they are out of business now. Help please?

  1. Can you afford $19.95 a month? Check out the link below!

  2. The -3.75 is the stronger lens. So it would be for your weakest eye.

    OD is right...OS is Left

The Dr's right or your right doesn't change anything...lol...your right eye is always your right eye.

Good luck getting them , because the on-line sites are supposed to call the Dr. to verify the prescription first before sending them.

  3. Try Contacts1st.com.  I gave them a try about a year ago and was pleased with their service(although they won't admit it, they are liberal with the prescription rules).  When placing an order, just fax a xerox copy of the prescriptions on the sides of your contact lens boxes.  They will process your order :)  I have been wearing contacts for many years and have been pleased with their services.
