It says on the Amazon site that it may cost "import fees" when buying a book from amazon from a country other than America.. Just wondering does Australia have "import fees" on a book bought from amazon.com and does anyone know how much?

thanks!!

  1. try

    http://www.infibeam.com/Books/

you might be able to get the cheap paper back editions. They do ship international on request!

  2. I don't know sorry, but I frequently use the recommendation feature on amazon and will one day purchase a book from amazon.

  3. no, I live in Australia, and I've been ordering heaps of books and CD's from them since 2000 and there's no import fees.  The postage can get really high tho so you can save a bit if you bundle your orders...

  4. Check on amazon when you have chosen the book it should tell you before you submit you order.

I have had things from USA to UK and not been charged extra.

  5. I have found the postage to be ridiculous. I use fishpond.com.au. They have a huge range and postage is free. Most of the books I get are from the US that book shops don't stock here. I highly recommend them.
