Ordering from ebay?

Hi! I'm ordering a cell phone from ebay, brand new. How long does it typically take to receive items? I need it within two weeks( i am leaving abroad and need this phone with me), so is ebay a good option? Thanks everybody.

It depends on the seller.  Some ship very quick, some don't!  You may want to contact the seller to have them let you know when your item ships, or offer to pay extra for expedited shipping.

All listings on ebay give you the method of how it will be shipped before even bidding on the item, also most will allow you to choose your method (should you want it faster) at checkout. Go back to the listing and look in the shipping category (usually right before the details of the item) and see what method they have listed there.

Ask the seller how often he ships and by what method, and where it's coming from.  I've gotten things on e-bay in 3 days, and others take a few weeks.  Some use ground --- and it's usually 5-7 days, and some use priority mail which is usually 2 days, but then again, you have to know when they will ship it.

Different vendors send things on a different time-line. Personally since you need it by a certain date I wouldn't take the chance and buy it from a store - unless you find someone who will send it two you fed ex.   (But it wil cost you more.)

before you bid or purchase an item on ebay you can contact the seller. Verify his shipping time which should be indicated as part of the listing...If he ships it USPS priority parcel you will have it in two days maybe three...Request he does and pay the difference if needed. There is no set time it all depends on the seller.

It really depends on the seller and how fast you can pay for it.  If it's a Buy It Now, that cuts down on auction time.  Most good ssellers will say in the auction how fast they'll ship it out; otherwise you should email them and ask (prior to buying!)

If they're in the same country, and send it out within a day or two, you should get it in plenty of time.  You can always ask them to do expedited shipping, if you can pay a couple extra bucks.  Do expedited if they're in another country.
