  1. Yes, you can still order the knife to your state if its illegal there. The company usually states its YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check the legalities in your state. It would cost to much money, and be to trouble some for the company to do so.

Stiletto are illegal in IL and I ordered this from them fine. Just read the fine print on the order page or somewhere.

  2. take a trip to nevada everything is available from switch blades to ak47s to buy there as long as you are 18 or older

  3. well, since the knife place wants to stay in business, they are unlikely to ship to a place where the knives are illegal.

  4. Why don't you see if you can help the guy that wants to live on his roof?

  5. Most laws related to knives concern the carrying, concealment and use of these knives, not simple purchasing and ownership in one's house.

The exceptions to this are spring-powered switchblades and the so called "ballistic knife," a peculiar Russian combat knife that fires it's blade from it's handle as a projectile.

Federal law prohibits switchblades from being shipped interstate, though it does not forbid outright ownership.  Therefore, most online retailers that sell switchblades will only ship them within their state of origin (Many California businesses do this, because switchblades under 2 inches are legal).

In states where certain non-switchblade knives (like butterfly knives) are illegal outright, most online retailers will not ship these items to those states.  That being said, there is little risk of the package being intercepted and inspected if it is being shipped only within the US (that's VERY illegal without a very special warrant issued by the federal government).  But that is a risky undertaking owning something illegal, and it will bite you in the *** eventually.
