When you order food at starbucks (pastries etc.) and you want them on an actual plate do you just say "on a plate" or do not all starbucks shops do that. I suppose same goes for if you want an actual coffee cup... and can you have the food warmed.... or again do not all shops do that either.

  1. Hello :)

Most stores carry for here serve wear. I know in my region and my store we MUST carry for here plates and mugs. If your store does not carry them you can request some from the manger. Starbucks is a very green company and likes to have things that conserve paper products. If you have asked for your food or drink on a plate or in a mug and been told no. It is possible the partners who are working do not want to have to wash the dish. I have caught my employees doing that once.

As for warming not all store have it yet. I know ALMOST all stores will have warming by 2009.

  2. ask for your order to stay at the register.

  3. Tell them it is "for here", use the same language if you want your drink in a mug instead of a to go cup.

  4. I am a daily Starbucks drinker and visitor and I do believe that you just have to ask for the plate or cup.  And they do warm the pastries up.  Its wonderful!

  5. Why is this an issue that needs to be taken seriously as a question?I am shocked. If you want it on a plate then----HELLO!  ASK FOR A PLATE! What is the big problem??

  6. I always just ask for a plate and a cup and that is the way I am served.

  7. You have to ask for a plate or for-here mug...we always ask if they want it for here, b/c most people don't really think to ask.  The new store I am currently working at doesn't have any way to warm anything, but the store I trained in had a microwave and toaster out in the cafe for customer use.  It depends on the store...
