Are they willing to crack your lobster for you and get the meat out, or are you on your own with that?

If they will get the meat out for you, do you have to pay extra for that?

  1. I'm pretty sure...you have to do it yourself. l0l.

  2. Mark and the the first person are right, I am a former chef and we did as much as possible, not everyone is an expert at that technique so it is imperative to do it, you want the dining experience to be as pleasant as possible, and the struggle with you main course is not an enjoyable one.

We used to split the tails, removed the inner parts, and cracked both claws so the opened freely, if you want it done more just ask, I never charged extra, and even a lobster tail sometimes is a better value, as the weight is lower and there is more meat in it for the price.

  3. Most places you have to crack your own lobster but I'm sure at the higher scale restaurants, where you'll pay more, they might crack them for you.

  4. the crack the shells a bit so you dont have to work to hard

they give you a bib and tools to smash it up - its the best part!!!!

  5. Yes depending on where you go, you can have them take all of the meat out for you with out the shell.  Its does not cost extra, and hopefully price for lobsters are good where your at.
