i never got anything from these sites before. only from zappos and the yahoo sports shop. how do i know if these websites are 'safe' for credit cards?

  1. The safest way would be to open a Paypal account and apply for a Paypal debit card. Don't set up any "back-up funding" for your Paypal debit card, then the only money you can spend with it is what is already in your Paypal account. Then just put enough money in your Paypal account to cover your purchases.


  2. There is no way to really tell if the store is honest but never enter a credit card number on a site unless the URL starts with https. Notice the "s" at the end. There will also be a closed padlock at the bottom of the screen. The first one show it at the first checkout page. The second site does not but it may appear on later pages.
