Orders to germany...?

Question

When I arrive in germany tomorrow 30 miles from the post... what do I do? where do I go... My orders dont cover this...

any help would be great thanks guys...

ArmyWife is right...there will be buses to take you from the airport to replacement, and then from replacement on to your actual assignment. Everything will be taken care of for you.

Go to the USO (it is down stairs from where you get your luggage) there will also be soldiers there picking up other people so you can just ask them where the USO is and they'll point you there. From there they will put you and your luggage on a bus and take you to a central station to find out where you are really being stationed. (Our orders had us going to Smithback Barracks but we ended up in WAAF because that was were we were needed), then they will bus you there you will check in on base, contact some one from your new unit, who will help you get set up from there.

Just wander around aimlessly. Maybe take a train to Amsterdam.

Have you spoken with your sponsor or do you have one?  I would get in touch with that person and tell them to pick me up.

Alternatively, see if there is a USO type office at the airport and they can help you.
