    An Ordie officer manages, well, ordanance. From bombs to missles to small arms. They typically run the department or division on the ship that is responsible for ordanance.

    A quartermaster officer would run the division or department on the ship that is responsible for navigation and plotting. They are normally also responsible for whatever boats are onboard, writing the watchbill, and the bridge watch team.
