  1. So your name is Clueless, right?

  2. Well, I have only been to Oregon a couple of times but I know that one thing that you don't want to miss is Crater Lake. It's pretty awesome looking. I've never been to France but I will be going this summer. Hope you have fun when you travel!

  3. Ok, there is no comparison here.  One is very wet, rainy and cold and is timber land in a mountainous American state.  The other is an entire European country that is much larger and geographically diverse as well as weather-wise.  One speaks English and spends dollars, the other speaks French and spends Euros.  Since this is a "Travel" site you have to consider language, currency value and climate among other things.  I guess it boils down to what you like and what interests you.  The French countryside could be compared to the Oregon woodlands, I guess, and depending on the time of year it could be similar in climate depending on where in France you are.  Tough to know what you're looking for.  Right now, you might be better off in Oregon due to language issues and the value of the dollar against the euro.  In Paris, lots of people speak English, but I don't think that is true of France outside of Paris, in general.  Portland is beautiful and there are things to do and the coastline is impressive.  The two big college towns are rated very highly as places to live and have lots of activities.  At the same time France has many big and small towns that each have different characteristics and activity levels.  Food, wine, culture are very well known and the French coast is also very impressive.  You need to see both if you can, but I would start here in your own country right now.  You do sound pretty clueless.......
