Got any ideas? I use compost in the yard but there are worms and what not in there so I don't know what to use to fertilize my houseplants ORGANICALLY! Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

  1. just sift out your compost to remove the worms. Or make a compost tea http://www.taunton.com/finegardening/how... . There are several name brand organics out there but be careful of the ingredients some contain fish oils and can be quite stinky.

  2. Organic fish emulsion is great for plants.  It smells horrible, however.  I used to take my plants outside, fertilize them, then leave them outside until the smell subsided.  Usually several days and even then, there was some odor.

I also deep watered the plants and gave them a good shower to clean them up, while they were outdoors.  That probably helped them out, too.
