Where can I find organic u-pick farms in Northern California?

Where can I find organic u-pick farms in Northern California? Preferably in SF Bay Area and surrounding areas. But anywhere in Northern California is fine.

U-pick farms or farm stands that are Organic and/or do not use pesticides.

A list of websites with links to organic farms is fine too!

Try the Sonoma, Petaluma, and Novato areas.  They might not be totally u-pick, but there are many roadside stands in the area.

PS:  Organic does not mean free of pesticides.  100's of organically approved pesticides are available for use and many of them can kill you dead as any other.  Just want you to be aware.

Granted, organic farms can use non synthetic pesticides but farmers that really understand organic management generally do not use any pesticides as they have their farm eco-system in balance and do not need such crutches and in fact know using such aides in the short and long run can be detrimental to the balance of things.

So look for an organic farm that has been in organic operation for 10+ years and you will be able to pick truly organic food. The rub here is a lot of us long time organic practitioners do not get certified organic any longer and cannot use the term "organic" to describe our food or farms so you have to read between the lines and ask questions.
