Question:

Organic cereals with fiber but low in carbs?

I am trying to find an organic cereal with at least 5 grams of fiber but preferrably no more than 30 carbs in it. Its hard to find this even in non orangic cereals, but I just hate eating 42 carbs to get 7 grams of fiber. And I prefer organic, if I can't understand the ingredient I don't need to put it in my body ya know - so does anyone know of any cereals with fiber and low(ish) carbs?

I really like this cereal with vanilla almond milk on it.

This cereal has 20 carbs and 13 grams of fiber (not organic though, sorry) http://www2.kelloggs.com/Product/Product...

  2. I know what you are saying but don't think you will find one.   Cereal is grain based and grains are carbs.   Eating whole grain cereal is the best solution as you already seem to be doing.    I also am trying to restrict my carbs and avoid cereal more than once a week.    Although fruit is loaded with carbs, I find that by getting my carbs through fruit  works best for me.

  3. I don't think it quite meets the organic criteria but it's closer than most, Kashi Go Lean has 13g protein, 10g fiber and 30 carbs (I net fiber and carbs and count it as 20 carbs).  I put dried cherries on top, yum.
