  1. I presume you mean the formation of the di-ester: di-n-butylsuccinate, also called butanedioic acid dibutyl ester.

    It is unlikely these will react just by mixing, it would need a little acid for catalyst and a way to remove the water byproduct to drive the equilibrum to the products side.
