Why would people rather eat organic meat? I am just curious. I was watching a show the other day and the lady made sure she told everyone she was eating "organic ham" and that really through me a loop why someone would want to eat organic ham.

  1. All meat is organic, but not Certified Organic (c).

The certification should offer you assurance that there are no chemical or hormonal additives, because the certifying agency has done audits of the  growing facility.

In Britain Organic groups are prohibited from claiming their products have any health benefits as compared with products not certified organic.

This is simply because they have failed to meet standards of proof for claims of health benefit.

  2. There ain't such a thing as organic think cow eats grass the grass is treated to make it grow plus when it rains it just rains what the heat absorbs, just have a think

  3. Organic meat must be produced without antibiotics (for the most part), and no chemical sprays for insects, no growth hormones, etc. As well they must be raised on organic feeds that have not had chemicals applied to them. As to why someone would want to eat organic ham, it is the same reason that they want to eat organic fruit. I agree with you, however, give me a good ham sandwich and I don't think, "Is this organic ham?" before chowing down on it.
