  1. When you say organizational behaviour , I'm not sure if you mean "being organized" or behavior that occours in a business organization. If you meant the first, I think it's crucial. I'm not half as organized as I'd like and if I were my life would be much easier. I'm working on that discipline now.

    If you mean business behavior, that doesn't sound to have much value.


  2. I'm not sure whether you are asking if it is or if it suitable as a research discipline. In the US, organizational behavior focuses on the behavior within organization by its actors which include both individuals and groups. OB's boundaries don't extend beyond the organization. Something like Human Resources does look at environmental issues with respect to the same boundaries, however, it is less behavior oriented.  European organizational theorists focus more on organizational structure, so don't hold OB as strongly as a distinct discipline, where OB probably is looked at more as Organizational Behaviorism given that it's foundations lie with researchers like Fred Luthans and Kreitner, who adapted Skinner's animal behaviorism to employee management.
