What are some SPECIFIC tactics that have been used in the EU to fight organized crime? Sources will be greatly appreciated. I'm having a terrible time compiling research for a presentation. Everything is so vaguely described and obvious that I've read as of yet. ie. Member States will work together and share information to fight organized crime. My response is okay, but how? And with what success? Basically any specifics on how OC is fought in the EU would be great. Much thanks in advance. You are helping me to not fail a course as I study abroad in Spain...

Information sharing is a critical component of fighting organized crime.  Getting the member nations to be willing to share criminal intelligence information was very difficult, due to trust and integrity issues.  However, they have made great strides in moving forward in that direction.
