Organizing my recyclables before putting out to the curb...?

How should I be organizing my recyclables? I know most people put their newspapers in a paper bag, but should I be separating my aluminum cans vs. my cardboard vs. plastic? Or can I just dump them all in my recycling bin?

It depends on how much you recycle.

We have 5 recycling boxes, 2 x paper, 1 x tins, 1 x plastic & 1 x glass. so the solution is easy!

Visit the council website, it should give details on how/if recycling should be sorted.

You can separate them if you'd like, but ultimately they just shove everything in the same big truck and it goes to the same place. People there will sort it out.

Most recyclers would want you to sort everything out, plastic, aluminum, paper, but it depends on who is picking it up.  I would contact who ever is doing the curb side pickup and ask them.  Usually sorting it out saves time and resources on the other end.
