  1. yeah, what Cheryl says....I'd drink a red bull AND a Monster! LMAO!  j/k - it can be engaging, our personnel team is pretty laid back and tries to make the process 'fun' ehem....I'm just not a meeting-type person!  Don't be scared - it's not that bad!

yes, you should wear one of those new outfits to orientation - a lot of people do

  2. Wear something casual. All your going to do tomorrow is learn how the store is ran, maybe show you the back part of the store. They will sit you down in a room and tell you all the rules and regulations for Walmart employee's. You won't have to bring anything but yourself, but drink a red bull before you go because it might be boring LOL

  3. It's not that bad. Calm down. Wear your khakis and navy blues, just like you would to work. Shoes are your choice.

What you pretty much do is make your namebadge, get your schedule for the next 3 weeks, play silly little board games, watch safety videos, take a tour of the store, the store manager will come talk to you as well as the loss prevention dude, and do CBLs.

The main thing to keep in mind is: YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN HIRED. So you don't need to impress anybody. They people who run orientation are the Personnel people anyways, and they can't fire you. You don't need to bring anything. They give you everything you need. Plus, you're getting paid to be there. =D

Keep in mind my orientation was 6 years ago, but I imagine it hasn't changed much since then.

    Welcome to Wally World!

  4. The uniform is khaki or brown colored pants and a blue or dark blue shirt.

Don't be scared, just going over info about the store and policies. Just listen and pay attention.

Don't be afraid to ask questions.

The most important thing to remember about your job...more important that anything else....COME TO WORK!

I fire more people for attendance than everything else combined.
