  1. It was derived from a martial arts system.


  2. The origin of yoga is in deep-deep past. I believe that Satyananda and Bihar's yoga school opened yoga to the world (and systematized old knowledge). But actually nobody knows the yoga origin, like nobody knows where the Ganga begins 8)
