This was in a MySpace blog from 2005: "Though I was born in Belarus, then a part of the Soviet Union, my name is distinctly un-Slavic. Ever since I was a young lad, with many less teeth than I own today, I have been under the impression that my surname has ancient Turkish roots (maybe even Byzantine), and means "protector of the tribe."--Member name is Medium Thoth, on the webpage .
