Original Conflict for Story Based Around Themes Such as Drugs?

This year will be my third taking part in National Novel Writing Month (annual "competition" that takes place in November in which participants write a 50,000 word novel). But I have NO IDEA what to write about.

I know that I want to write something Perks of Being a Wallflower-esque that deals with themes like drugs and s*x and what REALLY goes on in high school. But I can't think of any main conflict that's original in the least bit.

If you can say ANYTHING to help (from personal experiences to outright plot ideas), it would be greatly appreciated.

You could always write a story about how DHS & CPS workers will fake drug tests to steal children from their mothers. This is the easiest way for them to be able to put them up for Adoption and get the Federal Bonus money. Of course if you wanted a fiction story this won't work for you.
