Question:

Original signed photo and frame from the palace of Princes Diana and Prince Charles from 1986 worth?

Princess Diana gave the photo to my mother in 1986 after my mother spent a week with Diana and Charles on the American tour of that same year. I have looked on e-bay and can't find anything that compares with it. Does anyone know of it's value? Thanks (Signed by both Diana and Charles and dated.)

  1. The rich and famous as well as many collectors are paying big money for royal memorabilia collect-ables. What you have is easily worth around $540,000 USD. You might get more at a good auction house.

  2. $2000

  3. A very short letter of Diana's is going for $287,000 pounds. Xmas cards are going anywhere from $9000 pounds to $50,000 pounds. Your signed photo (both signature's in a royal frame) would be somewhere around $300,000 to $400,000 pounds. Perhaps more as there is a very good demand for this right now. A very good investment. I would recommend holding onto it as the prices will keep on going up as the years go on!

  4. Your best bet is to research to see prices that similar items are being sold for, ask expert appraisers of such rare collectibles, etc.

This is one situation where you need to do thorough research before thinking of selling the photo.

Be sure to check items you are looking at on ebay, to see if they are actually signed, or just reprints of signature.  There are a number of photos advertised as being "signed by Princess Diana" which are prints of signature, not an actual signature itself.
