http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 has done well to prove his critics wrong with superb performances in their recent fixtures.
Since moving from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 to Stamford Bridge in the last winter transfer window for a record breaking fee of 50 million pounds Torres has managed to score just five goals for the Blues. While the goal drought continues for the Spaniard, his performance
has immensely improved.
The 27-year-old has been setting up goals for Juan Mata and the rest of the Chelsea squad. His best performance for Chelsea came against Sunderland in the 1-0 win, where Torres was the best player for the Blues even though he failed to find the back of the
net.
It was none other than Fernando Torres whose missed effort was converted by midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 and ended up in the back of the net. Romeu admitted he was highly impressed and felt his fellow Spaniard did not necessarily have to score to be a top player
for the London side.
Romeu said while speaking to reporters:
“People used to say that if he doesn't score then he is not playing good, but that is not true.
He is playing good and he helped us to get the goals. He was playing very good in the game at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 and now he played another big game for us. Every ball, he fights and he is big player for us.”
According to the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 international would have a better chance at helping the London side
succeed.
He revealed:
“If he is happy, if he is enjoying it on the pitch then he is going to play better and he helps us much more than if he is not enjoying it on the pitch.”
As for the Blues chances at winning the Premier League title, Romeu was hopeful despite the fact that the Blues were currently at fourth place on the Premier League table. He admitted it would be tough but felt they still had a decent chance and claiming
the League title.
Romeu continued:
“Now the league is very difficult but you can never say the league is over - you have to fight to the end.”
