Orissa Cricket Association plans on sending a 21-man squad for an exposure trip to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 – Cricket News Update
All attempts are being made for developments in the cricketing fraternity of the Indian state of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Orissa-c828, after the region’s concerned body, the Orissa Cricket Association (OSA), recently announced that it would be sending over
a 21-man squad to Australia for an ‘exposure trip’.  
The scheduled visit comes thanks to Orissa’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Gwyl-Bevan-c75927, who took the generous initiative to bring alive the competitive.
However, this does not come out as the first step towards improvement in Orissa’s cricketing scenario. Previously, the association took a bold step in appointing Bevan as the coach for its Ranji team. Bevan’s inclusion on the management
came through a much fruitful cricketing profile the former Australian batsman holds.
Following the appointment, the Association also came out with a follow up of a Twenty20 (T20) cricketing event, called the Orissa Premier League, that came under the similar likes of the all famous Indian Premier League.
As for the upcoming proposal, OCA has finally decided to send a 21-member squad to the outback in order for the players to improve their skills as cricketers and gain exposure by playing with foreign cricketers. The team will be
sent under the constant supervision of Bevan.
According to OCA’s Secretary of the Board, Ashirbad Behera, Coach Bevan had suggested the trip to Australia since Indian monsoons will be disrupting practice session for the side prior to the Ranji cup.
Behera also added that, "Cricket in Australia is in a very developed stage and its players are strong in every department of the game. A tour to Australia will certainly help our team to get an opportunity to develop their style
and techniques to play positive cricket".
The tour is set to kick off under the captaincy of all-rounder Biplab Samantaray, on August 22, with an opening 3-Day match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Queensland-c834. Other fixtures include two One Day Internationals, four T20s and a two day bout.
According to Behera, the tour will be an estimated Rs 45 lakh worth of an expense, and will be borne by the sponsors of the event.
