Orlando Magic rally late to down Minnesota Timberwolves 102-93: NBA Recap

Orlando Magic came from behind to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-93 here at the Amway Center on Monday night. Glen Davis led all scorers on the night with 28 points and 5 rebounds, going 13 of 17 from the field. J.J. Redick
came off the bench to add 18 points and hand out 7 assists, and Nikola Vucevic had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Magic, who won three straight for the first time this season.
Kevin Love posted 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, Nikola Pekovic also had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Ricky Rubio played for 16 minutes tonight, dishing out 4 assists with 2 rebounds, but went 0 of 3 from
the floor.
Minnesota led by 12 points at halftime but Magic came back hard in the second half. They outscored the Wolves 28-15 in the fourth to complete the comeback.
Love was frustrated that his big night did not result in a ‘W’ for the Timberwolves, he said
"They got confidence and they started running out on us. We didn't get back... When you get confidence, especially down the stretch of a game like that, it is tough to be stopped. They got all the bounces that went their way and
it was a tale of two halves."
Timberwolves started off well; Pekovic made a layup early in the period to put them up 14-7. They maintained their advantage over the Magic for most of the period and were up 29-21 later in the quarter before a 6-0 run by Orlando
reduced the gap down to 2.
Redick connected one from behind the arc to make it a one point game on 33-34 early in the second period but the Wolves had other plans and they started pulling ahead later in the quarter. Love nailed a buzzer beating three pointer
to have Minnesota leading 61-49 at halftime.
Ridnour knocked down a three pointer early in the third period to put the Wolves up 68-53, their biggest lead of the game. But the Magic started slashing the deficit; they cut the gap down to 65-70 with 4:09 to go in the quarter
and Orlando were trailing 74-78 by the end of the period.
Magic took the lead immediately in the fourth period with a Redick shot from downtown. A 9 nil run put the Magic up 94-87 late in the period, and another 8-0 spurt confirmed them victory on 102-91 with just 43.7 seconds to go in
the game.
