Orlando Magic sign E'Twaun Moore on a two year deal
According to various reports, Orlando Magic have signed E'Twaun Moore – a former Boston Celtics guard - on a two year deal. The exact details of the agreement have not been revealed but Moore is expected to receive a league minimum for both seasons.
Moore was traded away by the Boston Celtics in the three team deal which saw the arrival of Courtney Lee. The young 23 year old was sent to the Houston Rockets in that deal and was waived off the by the franchise shortly after being traded. Moore was selected as the 55th overall pick by the Celtics last season and played in the Italian league prior to his arrival because of the NBA lockout.
In his first season, Moore’s best performance came against the Magic as he recorded 16 points, shooting the ball 4 of 4 from long range.
The signing of Moore is in keeping with Magic’s strategy of bringing in new players with a hope of developing their skills during the rebuilding process, which has started after the departure of Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers and Jason Richardson to the Philaelphia 76ers.
Jonas Jerebko gets injured playing for Sweden; Expected to be fit in time
The London Olympics and the fear of injuries to NBA players are a thing of the past; however there are some team owners who will still remain pensive.
The EuroBasket qualifiers are going on nowadays and there are quite a few NBA players participating. Jonas Jerebko of the Detroit Pistons is one such player and he recently went down with a twisted ankle while playing for Sweden.
The injury to the 25 year old player is not serious though and he certainly will not be missing any time, come next season.  As the new season arrives, Jerebko will be heading into his third year with the Pistons. He has been a solid player coming off the bench and the Pistons will want him to step up in next season’s campaign and improve on the 9 points per game, he has averaged for his career.
