Orlando Magic surge in the 4th quarter to ravage Milwaukee Bucks 94-85 – NBA Recap
Led by Dwight Howard’s stupendous 26 points and 20 boards, the Orlando Magic outgunned Milwaukee Bucks 94-85 at Amway Centre. This was their 8th victory on the road and extended their current winning streak to 4 as they
grabbed the 20th victory of this shortened NBA season.
Orlando had 5 players in form tonight; including Howard whose double-double played a big part in the win. They also got a boost from Ryan Anderson who barely missed a double-double with 23 points and 9 rebounds.
Forward Hedo Turkoglu netted 14 and dished out 7 assists and reserve J.J. Redick along with Jameer Nelson scored 11 and 10 points respectively.
On the other hand the highest scorer for Milwaukee Bucks was Carlos Delfino, he had 16 points. Three players; Ersan Ilyasova, Shaun Livingston and Brandon Jennings, had 14 apiece for the Bucks.
Orlando couldn’t warm things up in the opening frame as they had  a low shooting rate netting only 15 points, while Milwaukee got a  hold of the segment with two runs , a 6-2 spurt with 02:12 in hand and the other of 6-0 at the
end of stanza taking a huge 27-15 lead.
Magic opened the second period with an 11-6 run scratching the 12 points deficit to 7; the score 33-26 with Bucks ahead.
Then late in the same period with 02:58 in hand and Bucks leading with 45-30, Milwaukee took a time out.
After the time out Orlando came up with a coherent 14-1 run that helped them narrow the huge deficit to just two points. With Bucks still in the lead 46-44, game entered into the half time.
With an early 10-2 run in the 3rd stanza Milwaukee stretched their lead to 62-54, afterwards with 06:36 in hand they got the lead to double digits by scoring their 66th point of the game while Magic were at
56.
There was little activity on the scoreboard until with 04:56 to go, when Orlando pulled off a mammoth 16-6 run that tied the scores at 72 each. The Bucks were still able to finish ahead at 74 – 72.
Milwaukee suddenly went cold in the last 05:45 minutes of the game as they lost their lead and eventually the game to Magic.
Orlando started to turn things in their favour with a 14-3 run that concluded with Turkoglu's jump shot placing them ahead for the 1st time in the game 86-85, with 4:50 on clock.
From that point onwards it was the victory run for the Magic as they capped off the game with an 8 uninterrupted points, final score 95-85.
