Question:

Orlando or Hawaii?

My family is planning on going to either Orlando or Hawaii this summer and it's up to my brother and me to decide which one of the two we'd prefer. My brother and I have never been to either so we don't know which one we'd prefer.

What do you think? We're a family of four. I'm 16 and my brother is 12.

Thanks!

  1. I was going to say Hawaii but then i saw your ages so i would say orlando

  2. Depends on what you want to do.

  3. In my opinion, I think Florida has a lot more fun stuff to do for teenagers.  There are so many different parks to choose from.  Disney world, Universal studios, Sea world, and many more.  There are no parks like this in Hawaii (that I know of).  But if you like site seeing and going to louse and being on the beach maybe you'd like Hawaii.  But then again, there are beaches in Florida.  I have been to both with my children and they liked Florida much more.  I think that Florida is more kid friendly.  Hope this helps......

  4. Well lucky you I have been to both. I really liked both of the places, it really depends on what you like. I have friends in Hawaii so it was different. They are both really touristy. If you do go to Hawaii, don't go to Oahu, or however you spell it. The big island has just as many beautiful beaches, but is less crowded and is great if you are looking for adventure, like hiking or diving off of cliffs. If you go to Orlando, all you will have time for is Disney, believe me. It is very crowded during the summer and REALLY HOT, you have to wait at least an hour and a half to get in to most of the rides. The best ride is the tower of terror though. Good luck deciding! Hope this helps.

  5. well I live in Florida...and I think that Hawaii would be a lot more exciting. Orlando is a lot of fun...but idk.

idk since you've never been there it might be fun? but idk..do you plan on going to Disney or Universal while you are in Orlando?

  6. If you surf or bodyboard-go to Hawaii.

  7. Hawaii!!!! DUH! Hawaii is so much nicer and there are hotter boys.

  8. Yeah definitely Orlando, FL because you can go to many wonderful beaches such as Cocoa beach there is a lot of surfing going on there, many surf shops and restaurants to visit. You can go to various theme parks such as Sea world, Disney world, Universal studios, or Bush gardens but that is in Tampa. But if you are going to any beach I would definitely recommend Caladesi island it got rated #1 Beach in the world according to National Geographic. Here is a pic of it: http://www.lookingforadventure.com/image... Yes that is honestly Caladesi island. Its near Clearwater you can just take the ferry out to it the boat leaves at 10:00 and comes back at 4:00. The sunset there is beautiful. So now its up to you! You can go to Orlando and experience the trip of a lifetime or just go to Hawaii and watch valcanoes burst with lava! Check it out!

EDIT: Brittney obviously does not live in Florida I don't even know where she lives maybe Ohio or something. But the water here is crystal clear and sparkles in the sunlight. Trust me, I am a local in Clearwater beach. Here is the real question, why would they name it clearwater beach if it was "greenish and murkey" as she puts it. Don't listen to her she does not know what she is talking about and DOES NOT live in Florida.

  9. Well, florida isn't exactly the most "scenic" place you'll ever see, it's over developed and it's not the beaches your expecting. More than half of it is just bush, and the other half is cities. popular beaches are overcrowded, parking is h**l, and it gets very very hot (100º f plus). I live in florida, (cocoa beach), and I would strongly advise anyone thinking of coming here to consider rebooking to a different location. There aren't many things to do in florida other than disney and busch gadens. There is some sight seeing to do, but any of it you do is just for a few minutes, because the crowd keeps moving, none of it is really .. spectacular. I've lived in the mecca of florida tourism my whole life. Hawaii on the other hand, has beautiful scenery, plus all of the beaches, and nicer weather. plus florida is a bit of a steroetypical vacation. Hawaii would be a bit more exciting, and more culturally pleasing. All of the native floridians have been shoved into marshland, you almost never see someone who says "i'm ½ seminole", but you'll meet a good number of hawaiians. Oh yeah, floridas water isn't blue, its murky greenish brown.

But, if you're going to do a theme park run over the days you are here, this would be alot better for fun. But if you're just going to stay in hotels and do nothing too interesting other than going to look at Ron Jons and Cocoa Beach Surf Co., go to hawaii. I strongly STRONGLY recommend adding busch gardens to your list of places to go if you're a roller coaster junkie, they have some of the BEST roller coasters around, plus basically they have a zoo so your parents can go be boring =P

  10. Hawaii...!!

I live in Florida, but anybody would choose Hawaii....!!

  11. If you love Disney, like theme parks, and rides--then go to Disney.

If you like relaxation, the beach, surfing, and shopping--then go to Hawaii.

Also-it depends on where you will actually be going and staying. Which islands? Disney resort?
