Orphanages in London 1900-1910???

does anyone know how orphanages worked during the beginning of the 20th century? And any that might have been in London at the time?

What do you mean, "how orphanages worked"?  Do you mean, how were they financed?  Who ran them?

Orphanages were financed by donations, and run by private persons or religious institutions.

Usually Priest or Nuns ran them.

JUst google it! There are LOADS of sites on this...mostly they were workhouses...so google "workhouses London children 1900"
