  1. Baby bottles work well, heat your milk just like you would for a baby.  Regular milk is good until you can get some milk replacer.  Two days and they will be following you around like little puppies.  After about two weeks you can teach them to drink from a dish and save yourself a lot of trouble, but bottle feeding baby pigs can be a real kick.  You are going to have a hard time using them for the reason you are raising pigs to start with.  They will be your babies very fast. Good Luck.

  2. Just adding one more thing...they need an iron shot, 1cc, then again about 2 weeks after the first.  Spray their navels with a gentle iodine spray and clip their tails so they won't chew on each others.  Keeping them warm is very important and the other answers are correct with feeding them.

Anything else I can help you with, e-mail me.  I used to work in a farrowing barn.

Good luck with your baby bacons!

  3. You will bottle feed them calf milk replacer if nothing else is available. they will drink a bit evrey 3 hours. good luck

  4. If you can get it goats milk that will be the best substitute for their mothers milk.

  5. You need baby pig bottles and you can use calf milk replacer for feeding. they are pigs so you will need to feed them often and little amounts.

If you need any other help let me know

  6. heat lamp to keep them warm

  7. I've used infamil with iron- new born pigs are anemic- keep them under a heat lamp - on clean bedding and they ought to do fine- treat 'em like a kid-feed them every time they wake up- watch their stoo and adjust accordingly !!!

  8. do you know anyone who has a cat that just weined her kittens?  Another animal can be a serogate mother, that's your best bet.
