Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo Problems...anyone else??

Question

I have been on BC for 14 years now, since I was 16. I have been on many types over the years (probably 4-5 types) bur recently switched from the patch (which I LOVED) to Ortho Lo (due to the blood clot reports with the patch). I HATE IT SO MUCH!! Last month my period was 4 days late (scary, took home preg. tests) and this month I am a week early, which probably means I will have a two week long period. I am bloated up like a WHALE, noticeably bloated. I have had enough and after discussing it with my BF of 15 months I've decided to stop BC all together. I don't feel safe about taking it for so long and he is willing to use protection so I don't have to take BC anymore. Has anyone else had these AWFUL side effects from Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo??

*I've also had 1-3 headaches a week since I was 16, I think due to BC. I am just ready to see what my body is like NORMALLY!

I hated it as well!! I was getting horrible migraines that never seemed to want to go away. I am on Mircette now and so far so good i love it!

All I can tell you is Hated it !!!!!! I ended up switching to the Nuva Ring which I licked.

I hated it as well I always had a period..try switching to Ortho Trui Cyclen   not the Lo just the regular! I liked that one a LOT better

i HATED ORTHO TRi CYCLEN LO SO MUCH ALSO. iT MESSED UP MY EMOTiONS SO BAD. AND i GOT HEADACHES EVERY SiNGLE DAY AND i EVEN GOT PREGNANT WHiLE USiNG THAT PiLL LiKE PERFECT.

I am on it as well, have been since I was about 15 due to heavy and painful periods.  I actually like it.  Though I do agree, my period does seem to come late, it takes several days after stopping the pills to start, and many times I have thought I might be pregnant!  They only last about 3-4 days though, and are pretty light in flow, and I usually only have cramps the 1st day, and they are not bad at all.
