What does it mean for something to be considered "Orwellian"?

  1. Read "1984" by George Orwell. Then you will know. Anyone who has passed the seventh grade should have read it.


  2. 1984, if it is properly presented, is definantly above a 7th grade level. Orwell is better known for his novela "Animal Farm" and the term "Orwellian" more often refers to that.

    It means to live in a society or be ruled by a government in which the laws do not apply equally to all citizens and where hypocrisy reigns. The public is passified by thier own ignorance and naiveness.
