Oscar De La Hoya vs Shane Mosley 3?

Question

Do you think that De La Hoya should rethink him fighting Miguel Cotto and instead opt to fight Shane Mosley one last time as a farewell fight.

Oscar had a tough time trying to knockout Forbes and i don't see Oscar winning the rematch vs Mayweather in September Oscar would lose another Unanimous Decision this time Floyd winning the fight more clearly.

Oscar couldn't beat Mosley in both fights and they are both close to retirement anyway, so De La Hoya vs Mosley 3 would it be a fight you'd want to see?

That sounds like a better scenario than any other ones being trhown around.  i would like to see that as his last fight, but it wouldn't be much of a farewell fight for him if he lost his 3rd time to Mosley.

I really don't see the point in a Mosley-De La Hoya 3, since Mosley is two up over Oscar. It would be different if they both had a win over each other.

Money-wise, I think OScar should go out in the end, against Miguel Cotto. If being safe is an issue, then I think he should try his luck against another titlist, like Carlos Quintana or move back up to junior middleweight and have an ugly fight with Cory Spinks (*shaking at that thought).

Im curious why nobody brings up Shane taking steroids for both fights with oscar. I thought he loss the second one (he got outpunched by double) and needed the twelfth round to pull out split in first one. If he was clean for the fights he would have lost both easily.

There really isn't a point being that he's lost both fights and i dont see third being the charm but i disagree with DLH not having a chance with Mayweather i could see him winning by split decision especially with Floyd Sr. in his corner who was around to see Floyds training the last time.

As far as fighting Cotto he might as well because it would be better to go out in a big fight and lose the a small one and win. DLH is also a fighter who can put a oppenent in the spotlight and it might as well be Cotto who deserves it.

Another interesting farewell fight would be DLH vs. Trinidad 2. They never rematched and their fight had a terrible outcome. I would like to see that instead of watching Oscar get punished. Battle of the Aged. I think Oscar is much more skilled than Trinidad tho.
