Oscar DeLaHoya has been going around asking guys he knows he can beat to replace Floyd for the Sept. fight.?

why doesn't he offer the fight to Paul Williams, Hmmmmm! I know why! Oscar's career at this point is a joke! If he really wants to retire having made a great statement, beating Williams is a great way to do it.........................................

I would love to see that fight, Williams has a name and the belt!

I used to be a big DeLaHoya fan, but lately it's been hard to keep up my fanship!

I am a bigger fan of de la hoya and even I would not like to see a williams fight. It would be a waste. Williams got beat by that joke quintana and just now got his belt back. It wouldn't be a good fight. I would like to see oscar fight hatton or cotto but cotto is busy and won't be free until after oscar has retired and hatton turned him down.

I couldn't agree with you more I think Oscar has really named fighters that everyone knows he can beat with the exception of Miguel Cotto. I always wondered why Oscar could skip the line of worthy contenders and fight whoever he wants too and its OK. I was laughing like crazy when I heard talks of Oscar and Manny Pacquao, Ricky Hatton and Paulie Malignaggi. I just was thinking why bring a guy two divisions south of you rather than fight somebody at 154 and 147.

Oscar Dela Hoya in recent years has done nothing but use his name and status in boxing to get the fights that he wants not neccearly deserves but wants. Mayweather and Hopkins both of those fights in my opinion he did nothing to deserve but he got them anyway because of his status. I think it really bad for the Boxing and the Division because it sends things into a tall spin.

For example say Oscar beats Cotto while Paul Williams was waiting him now Cotto wants a Rematch and we have too wait another year for Cotto vs Williams. Then during all of this Williams fights Cintron and Loses now we have too wait for his rematch. When you get guys from other divisions mixing in things always turn into a tail spin.

Dude, i think oscar would so beat paul williams... i want to see him fight cotto... thats it.. or vernon forrest, but he just lost to mora... oscar is the big name out there... he has the biggest fan base for any boxer and he wants to seal it with a great fight okay.... not a stupid one... and mp, hatton, and cotto are in the conversation because those are the most popular fighters right now... i know its ridiculous, but paul william sucks...

oscar is not fighting sept 20th no more due to mayweather retiring!!!!

his last fight is on dec6th and if miguel cotto beats margrito he will fight him.

clearly he is better then williams who got much to prove.

b.t.w. delahoya fought the best his whole carrer he fought forbes as a tune up and now will face the best in cotto i dont know what else people want this man to do he already carries the sport and when he in fact retires everyone will realize that he was needed more than tthey thought
