  1. Oscar should retire, his career right now is in jeopardy. One mistake would lead him being despised by people.

  2. Oscar has been a boxing business man for a while now, nothing has changed.  What's the difference between him fighting Mayweather or Pacquiaou, they're both bloated featherweights, only difference is you guys are afraid that Pac will lose, I personally think and wish he would beat the shat out of him.  Diminish his career even more than it already has been.  Then pull Mayweather out of retirement, and get retired, lol.

  3. Oscar should retire and stay that way maybe he should train others or just stay home and enjoy his old days of glory

  4. He's trying to leverage this fight to gain an advantage at the negotiation table with Pacqiou.  What this tells me is that Oscar no-longer holds all the aces in the deck.

I think it's time for the boxing world to turn its collective back on both Floyd and Dela Hoya and move on.  We've got plenty of guys that want to fight and put on a good show.  The universe doesn't rotate around Oscar.

  5. That was just here-say his first choice was Mayweather and then Hatton and Pacman. All four men would make an excellent match up in my opinion but Williams was never really considered see extract from article below:

"Schaefer dismissed reports this week that welterweight titleholder Paul Williams was under serious consideration to meet De La Hoya. Schaefer said that although Williams' name was thrown out during an internal meeting, it was quickly dismissed, and no contact was ever made between the De La Hoya and Williams camps. Williams promoter Dan Goossen confirmed that as well."

  6. I agree with Ruddinger completely

  7. Who really cares? I dont need to see Oscar fight Margarito! I dont need to see him fight Williams, and I certainly do not want to see him fight Pacquiao.

Oscar is no longer a fighter, he is a boxing business man. Maybe Id like to see the Oscar of 10 years ago fight Margarito because I think that would be a great fight and Oscar would eventually knock him out.

But now? who cares? Oscar does not have the gusto to beat a guy like Margarito anymore.

Id prefer to see Oscar take the story book rout and fight Trinidad to settle that old score and then beat Mora for his WBC title and end his career with the title he started it with and held most of his career.

I really dont need to see an old Oscar trying to look like a real boxer anymore.
