Oscar fish is just hangin out in corner

i got an oscar fish today and i fed it a little bit of flakes and it at them all and now its just hanging out in on of the corners and is movin a little but not far from the corner. is this normal and hes just full or what?

At least you realize that the tank is too small, as one of your askers seems to still be in potty training, and thinks they can keep a pair of them in a 55 like a fairy.

The first guess with no tank mates around is acclimation, but one thing about acclimation you should know.  How long and how exactly did you acclimate him/her to the new tank?  You have to consider that an Oscar is a South American type cichlid and prefers low PH and softer waters.  Did you check your PH and hardness before adding him/her?  This can also be a case where the water it came from has too much of a difference in chemistry and temperature, and you have a little bit of shock setting in.  

At this point, if that is the case, there is little you can do.  That they didn't outright die is a good sign this will still be ok.  Keep this in mind though when you move him/her again.  Try to keep the Ph and hardness the same in the bigger tank and all you really have to concern about is temperature differential.

Mine is doin the same thing...i just go him yesterday..i dont know why he is..hes probaley adapting to the tank.

Need more info...how big is the oscar, what size tank, water filtration, other fish in tank....Oscars like live food...and also will eat special cichlid pellets....big ones will not eat flakes for very long....give more info please.
