Oscar fish.............?

can i put my oscar fish in a filtered heated outdoor pond? will they be safe? thanks

a lot of the tropical fish you get at pet stores includeing oscars are bred in swiming pools in florida so yes you could as long as the water temps are kept up in the high 70's to low 80's

will they be safe is another question I have heard several stories of people having their pond fish end up as food for blue herens

I dont see why not. If you see animals around the pond, i would put a mesh net over it.

they would be safe, but they are bad about jumping out of the water for bugs and things like that. and you might want to think about if there are any type of pesticides or poisons used around the pond, this may kill them.
