Oscars Cobra to bag winning prize in Coral Supports The RGOA Standard at Romford
Oscars Cobra is facing a star-studded line-up, but still holds a good chance of notching up the first position in Coral Supports The RGOA Standard, a 400 metres flat race, taking place at Romford on Friday, June 29th. The open contest is carrying
a handsome cash prize worth £175, and will be kicked off at 22:11 (GMT).
Winning four of the previous five races shows how good form Oscars Cobra is in. After sealing an emphatic win on the first of June, the black dog suddenly lost his direction, completing the order of finish the following week. He got bumped early on and as
a result, was in no position to do something special.
He quickly got his act together and put his campaign back on the winning ways. In mid June, the dashing hound defeated Chavalin by one and a half lengths to ensure the top prize. An excellent win was not enough to fulfil Oscars Cobra’s appetite for success.
J. Reynolds’ rampant dog registered a convincing win last week. In a similar clash, he dominated the proceedings, despite going through a real mess in the early stages of the race. An outstanding effort helped him lock the top rank by four lengths.
He is in such a good rhythm that it will be very hard for the punters to ignore his chances. Among his rivals are: Rough Rapid, Johnny Dash, Melodys Express, Millwards Matt and Sable Blue.
Rough Rapid is likely to get decent odds following a couple of decent outings. In both of his previous races, the blue dog narrowly missed the gold medal. So, he needs something different in order to produce a better result this time.
Johnny Dash is another interesting runner. Prior to his superb solo journey, the black dog demonstrated a wonderful show, winning a T2 event by 6¼ lengths. Today’s line-up is very strong, thus M. Locke’s trainee does not have an obvious chance.
Returning to red vest could be a bonus for Melodys Express, nonetheless, he does not fascinate us. Sable Blue’s inconsistent run might prevent the punters from supporting him. Millwards Matt needs his rivals to err to fancy some chances.
The real battle will be between Rough Rapid and Oscars Cobra. The latter gets our nod. Good luck to all the runners.
