  1. In the Stanley Cup Finals:

    Game 1 & Game 2- Osgood

    Game 3- Fleury

Game 4- Fleury, because the penguins can't handle the puck and therefore can't score.

  2. Osgood is currently the better goalie.  His experience makes him calmer in net, where he has realized that getting his body in front of the puck is the best way to stop it.  It's really quite simple but it works.  Stop the first shot and let your teammates help you on making sure there is no rebound shot.

Fleury seems to have the greater innate ability but he is over-reacting, and flailing his body around still.  He will learn to control this and become the better goalie but his lack of experience at such a young age is his present downfall.

  3. Ozzie! he has the best GAA and Save % in the league plus he has only allowed 4 goals in 4 games nuff said.

  4. Fleury can be a top notch goalie if he continues to improve.  It would be easier to compare them if they played in the same division.  I doubt he would have had as good of a season if they had a steady diet of san jose, dallas, or even nashville...instead they have the capitols, thrashers and leafs.

Osgood has been good especially since most nights 3/4 of the game he just stands around.

  5. Yesterday, today and tomorrow- OSGOOD. I do not think Fleury is all he is hyped to be. Getting this far was an accomplishment, and statistically it all looks good for him...but his team has pulled him along quite a bit.

  6. I like what everyone is saying.  Osgood due to his experience , but he is on his way out.  The flower because he is the future.  He may not win a cup this year, but I can easily see him being compared to Roy and Brouduer in the years to come.

  7. Osgood way better Can give the Wings another Stanley Cup title like three time other times in his career.

  8. fleury is better id say but osgood has more experience and always does good cause he only see's like 20 shots a game

    and i think osgood sucks

    GO PENS!

  9. Right now we have to say Osgood.  He has already won two Cups, one as a starter, and is on the cusp of another.  Osgood has been consistently good for his whole career.  Remember that he really hadn't done anything until he came back from this recent injury.  Consenquently it was at a time where his Pens started to play great hockey.  Only time will tell.

  10. Right now Osgood is a better goalie. He has been playing longer and has gained more experienced. He is playing solid. A lot has to do with him getting a goalie coach and working on his new style. Osgood a while ago, even when the wings won the cup with him as the starter in 98 wasn't as good. Fluery will grow and become even better. As for right now though Osgood deserves more credit that he gets. He makes his job look easier than it is.

  11. osgood = more experience

fleury = better upside. still just a kid

  12. It's obviously Osgood, This shouldn't even be a question of debate lol.

  13. Different stages of their careers, different styles, different situations and different teams playing infront of them.  So I don't think comparing them at this time is just.

  14. Fleurys got some really good moves, but I'll have to go with Osgood. Look what he's done since filling in for Hasek..

  15. Osgood has more experience but he was a young one like Fleury at one time too.  Both goalies are good but comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges.  For one thing Osgood has the experience, Fleury has some learning but is still good for his age and experience level.  Osgood has a much better defense in front of him which helps (just my opinion, being a goalie mom I'm looking at that all the time).  But all that aside, Fleury better be a good goalie as we just spent $120.00 on a goalie stick with his name on it LOL.

  16. Currently, Osgood. Basing that purely on age and experience. Fleury has a history of confidence issues (World Juniors, being sent down his rookie season because the Penguins couldn't afford his incentives...) and this is the first time that it appears that he has overcome them.
