  1. Both my Dad and I were diagnosed with that. I had it horrible from around 12-18 years old. I would cry and cry myself to sleep at night because it was so bad. It usually hits boys.

Luckily this is something that will go away in time and after you have finished growing. It tends to flare up during times of growth or overextending those muscles.

All you can do is get some rest when it is really bad, ice those areas to keep down the swelling, try to run just a little slower during training times if you can when it is flaring up.

I wish you the best. I do guarantee it will eventually go away.

People that are small framed tend to feel the pain more because there is no cushion. I was very tiny too.

  2. ~ Hi ~ ! You could be working out too hard for your condition?  It doesn't matter if it's only for 30 minutes, if your doing something that is pushing is your knee too hard.  I'm a little concerned that if you have a confirmed diagnosis of this condition is it a good idea to be playing football?

    What does your Doctor Say?

I'm sounding like a mom here, but I can't help but be concerned for your knee! You don't want to have  longterm damage (I'm sorry this is probably not what you want to hear). I could be wrong, you should talk to your ortho specialist if it's giving you so much pain.
