The Toffees visited the Hawthorns on the back of emphatic wins against Manchester United and Aston Villa, but were humbled by a rejuvenated West Brom side.

However, despite the result on Saturday, the Toffees veteran was upbeat of his team’ chances of putting up a challenge for a place in the European competitions, and praised their remarkable start to the season.
“It is important we stay positive. We have had two wins out of three [in the Premier League] so we’ll take a step back and look at it positively, and move on quickly,” he told the reporters in an interview.

The 31-year old admitted that the arrival of the newcomers has served to lift the morale of the entire unit. He opined that their impressive kick-off to the term was just the beginning of something much more special to come from them, as his team will further
improve with the passage of time.
Nonetheless, he went on to praise the Baggies on their remarkable win, and felt that they were clearly the better team on the day.
“We knew it would be tough here, they always make it difficult and have had a good start to the season… We just didn’t create and score when we had the opportunities. They are always going to get chances and when they came, they took them and that was that,”
he added.
