Otago reach 441 for 8 against Wellington in Plunket Shield

Otago were in a very strong position in their Plunket Shield match against Wellington, at the Queenstown event Centre in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 on Tuesday. At the close of the second day’s play, Welington scored 57 runs for the loss of one wicket. They are still 384

Openers Aaron Redmond and captain Cumming gave a solid start to their team, scoring 78 runs for the first wicket. However, Redmond failed to carry onto the start he got, as he was dismissed for 46.
First-drop Shaun Haig provided full support to Cumming and the pair put together 94 runs for the second wicket. The Otago captain batted sensibly and scored 91 runs before getting out. He deserved a century, but just fell nine runs short of it.
The hosts looked in a very good position, but http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shaun-Haig-c2504 got out on the same total of 194. They scored 18 and 31 runs respectively in their innings. Darren Broom also failed to make an impression, as he got out for 16.

was declared on 441 for eight.
